Point to point
Messages are transmitted via radio frequency to the wireless radio (receiver) in the LED message display from a wireless radio (host) which is plugged into the serial port of a PC (available USB adapter).
TCP/IP
Messages are transmitted via radio frequency to the wireless radio (receiver) in the LED message display from a wireless radio (host) plugged into the Ethernet port of a PC or placed on a network with an IP address.
Ethernet
The signal that communicates with the LED message display is converted to RS485 from an Ethernet adapter placed on a network with a static IP address.
RS232 Serial Cable
Data is transported directly into the LED message display through RS232 cable coming from the serial port of a PC. Cables are available in 25 ft. and 50 ft. A USB adapter is also available.
RS485 Cable
Data is transported directly into the LED message display through RS485 cable coming from the serial port of a PC. Cable can reach up to 4,000 ft. maximum. A USB adapter is also available.
Phone Modem
Data is transported to the modem in the LED message display through a connection with a dedicated phone line connected to the modem in a PC. Monthly charges for the phone line will be applied.
Fiber Optic Cable
Data is transported directly into the LED message display through fiber optic cable from the fiber optic modem of a PC. Cable can reach up to 10,000 feet maximum.
